James Stewart

James Stewart was an actor during the Golden Age of Hollywood. He played with other famous actors and actresses such as Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, and was supervised by great directors, among which a certain Alfred Hitchcock.

And they say that in addition to his extraordinary acting skills, he was adorable as a person. He died in 1997, aged 89.

Here is a sketch drawn from the movie Philadelphia Story. I always find it amusing when actors from these times have messy hair, because their hair is usually very smooth and they even wear hats (that they take off when talking to a lady ^^).

And I used a black and white photograph for this one… The outline is ink, the inside is watercolour. It’s such a shame that the 1940s films were shot in black and white: James Stewart had blue eyes…

Alright, I’m going to colourize all of his movies frame by frame with watercolours.

Or maybe not, ’cause I’ve got work to do for University…
